A Swiss Wine Dinner June 13th and Thursday, June 14th Staunton VA

Greetings Fellow Wine Lovers!

When we think of the most common words followed by Swiss, we tend to think of chocolate, cheese, watches, the alps and even banks.  After our June wine dinner, we think wine will be on the tip of your tongue too!

But why are we so unfamiliar with Swiss wines?  One reason why these wines are not well known by most outside of Switzerland is because 98% of all wines produced are consumed within Switzerland.  Thats right, only 2% of Swiss wines are exported and Germany drinks the majority it!  Although they have a long, sophisticated history of grape growing, they also had a tumultuous one resulting from North American diseases wiping out all the vines.  Although Switzerland has only 1/3 of the vines originally planted, the people have overcome and perfected the quality of their wine through time honored tradition and innovation.

This June, we will be bringing you Swiss wines from Delea and Renaissance Vins, two leaders in the viticulture of Switzerland, who both share a history and passion for producing exceptional wines by perfectly combining modernism and tradition.  We hope youll join us to experience these rare wines!
