How is your internet speed with Shentel these days?

We live in Woodstock VA and pay for 300 Mbps
I just did a SpeedTest and came in 253.14

YES, slow Shentel and lots of disconnects, waiting for a server to answer, server errors!  I hate using shentel but don't have much choice! I think their cables need replacing through Edinburg area and they need to upgrade or something and NOT at the customers expense because we have been suffering with this poor connection and server service for years.

Shentel Internet used to be decent even when 1.5Mbps was the fastest speed. Now you are lucky to even be able to surf the Internet with 3Mbps service. They don't have something right as it's near impossible to even surf a text based web page. I don't know if they are oversubscribed or what. I get faster speeds on a 3G one bar area on my phone.

High speed Internet is not an option at my address, shentel says cable is 1400 feet from my house and they have no intentions of bringing it to me.  I'm stuck with dsl slow as molasses Internet, it takes 8 hours to upload a game on Playstation 4, seriously. it's one thing of i chose this, but there are no choices in this county.

If You Have DSL, You're Probably Not Getting What You Pay For!

We are paying for 3 Mbps from Shentel, with had a LOT of trouble over the years. We went through a number of wireless routers just to try to get things to work right all the time.

When I Call Customer Service! They never say the problem is on their end.

The FIX!

I have found that if I wanted to watch Netflix and use my computer simultaneously, the TV would stop streaming. So now I only use one at a time and it works GREAT! 

Thanks to AT&T Wireless!!!

So if I want to use my computer and other devices while watching TV, I connect to my ATT Hot Spot on my phone in Edinburg and get:  up to: 60 Mbps and higher down load with Uploads 10.67 and higher. I have a plan with them that gives me 35 gigs a month with rollover a month.
