Activities Counselor Participate in community meetings, and review resident progress with supervisors to determine appropriate activities and events. Participate in Treatment Team meetings, reporting on resident recreation needs, individual goals and goal progress. Participate in planning of future recreational events and goals that will enhance the recreational opportunities of the program. Act as contact person and liaison between local recreation resources (i.e. YMCA) to ensure preservation of use by our program. Initiate and supervise activities within the daily and weekly schedules that promote health and fitness among residents. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in the human services field from a four-year college or university or an Associates degree in the human services field and six months experience working with children. These positions work directly with youth in the group home, thereby giving the worker hours towards their QMHP clinical hours!
Overnight Counselor Interact with all residents in accordance with the treatment plan and the therapeutic process Provide transportation and directly supervise residents on outings, activities and appointments. Keep the residents chart accurate. Educate residents on personal care skills such as personal hygiene techniques, proper care of their rooms, meal preparation, housekeeping, chores, etc. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in the human services field from a four-year college or university or an Associates degree in the human services field and six months experience working with children. These positions work directly with youth in the group home, thereby giving the worker hours towards their QMHP clinical hours!
