Additional signs of someone who is under the influence of meth include:

1. Fidgety/erratic behavior


2. Exhibiting obsessive-compulsive tasks consistently


3. Dilated pupils


4. Quick speech


5. Substantial weight loss


6. Meth mouth extreme tooth decay & gum disease


7. Skin lesions, sores and picking of the skin


8. Paraphernalia such as cut straws, charred aluminum foil, light bulbs transformed into devices that can be used to smoke with, etc.


There are many long-term effects of methamphetamine use including high blood pressure, damage to the heart and brain, endocarditis, vision changes, psychosis, and the inability for someone to experience a pleasure.

It is so sad to see all these parents on Drugs with their Grand Parents and even Great Grand Parents taking care of their children in the Shenandoah Valley.

The methamphetamine epidemic in the Shenandoah Valley involves a large number of men and women with dependent-age children.

However, we know little about the parenting strains experienced by methamphetamine-using mothers and fathers and the relationship of these parenting strains to mental health outcomes, specifically depressive symptoms.

One of the main reasons we put up this forum. Please feel free to post without using your name.

Meth is increasingly available in the Shenandoah Valley. Most of the methamphetamine available in Virginia is produced by Mexican DTOs and criminal groups using the hydriodic acid/red phosphorus method in high-volume laboratories in Mexico and California.

Mixing Meth with Fentanyl is deadly. The human body cannot swing from a heavily sedated effect from Fentanyl to a tremendous stimulant effect from methamphetamine without having an emotional breakdown or getting very sick.
