The town of Woodstock Virginia welcomes you!

In 1761, when George Washington sponsored an act in the House of Burgesses to charter the new village, the town was named Woodstock. Since 1772 it has been the County seat and currently has the oldest working courthouse west of the Blue Ridge Mountains  in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley

Seven Bends State Park - Day-use park located in the geographically unique Seven Bends area of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River. Seven Bends State Park provides public access to the North Fork of the Shenandoah River and features two hand-carry boat launches, picnic areas, one single family-sized picnic shelter, vault restrooms, and 8 miles of hiking trails. The park provides water and land-based outdoor recreational and educational opportunities while protecting and interpreting the spectacular scenic viewshed and geological, natural, and historical resources of the storied seven bends area. more info

The Woodstock Tower - Don't miss the opportunity to take in the grand views from the Woodstock Tower! In 1935, the historical structure was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps with the material provided by the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce. The tower offers views of the beautiful Seven Bends on the North Fork of the Shenandoah River.

From Woodstock, VA: Take exit 283 of I-81. Go east on Route 42 for .7 mile. Turn left on Route 11 and continue 1.7 miles. Turn east on SR 665 at the north end of the town of Woodstock. Continue on SR 665 (1.5 mile) until you come to a Stop Sign. Turn left onto SR 758 (2 miles). Woodstock Tower will be on your right. The footpath to the tower is on left.
